The cleansing of the temple.
One day after the apostate Diocese of Niagara attempts to cover up the Christian sign at St. Hilda’s, Province of the Southern Cone in Oakville, vandals rip off the contrivance of the diabolarchy and all – well, on the sign at least – is almost as it should be:

Back to this:
In this photo there is still a piece of tape concealing the real rector’s name. I understand that, subsequent to this photo being taken, the tape spontaneously withered and fell off.
Isn’t this Friday? How many teenagers walked by this sign to the Freebie Friday lunch today? A lunch hosted for many years by the original and now displaced St Hilda’s people. I leave the rest up to you gentle reader.
Yes this was Friday – but this was not done at the same time as Freebie Friday. The reps from the Diocese came and removed their sign and then the tape over the Pastor’s name mysteriously appeared. I leave the rest to you.
So perhaps it was because of this blog all these mysterious happenings occurred? As Homer Simpson says “Computers can do that?”
More to this. Would it not have been a better idea for the “dio reps” to have screwed their sign below the original sign as you see with many churches that share their buildings with another denomination? Or is this war?
Gawk [#4],
I am convinced of a number of things:
The diocese see what St. Hilda’s has done as an affront because, first it was an act of disloyalty and second we are indirectly calling them non-Christian (J. I. Packer called it sub-Christian). They can neither understand this, not forgive it. It is a double-barrelled insult.
Therefore, the diocese want, not just to win the building, but to destroy us completely; from their perspective, it is a war and they won’t be content until we have been obliterated.
Re:4 – there was an agreement struck by both sides that the parish would have their sign – which has been there for many years – and the diocese could put a sign on the other side of the driveway. Both have the same visibility.
Re:5 Of course the dio wants to obliterate us. That is why they insist on having services on Sunday mornings. It is not to further their ministry (they have no congregations other than people brought in from Rev. Fricker’s church) they just want to disrupt ours. They have done many things in a very heavy handed manner which also demonstrate this point. Well said Gawk.
#5 “it is a war and they won’t be content until we have been obliterated”. Well that all depends on who has the fastest shrinking denomination in Canada and who has the distinction of being the fastest shrinking diocese in the fastest shrinking denomination in Canada when it comes to “obliteration” doesn’t it?
