Another reason for belonging to ACNA

Unlike the ACoC and TEC who ceaselessly prattle about social justice while studiously ignoring the systematic killing of millions of unborn children every year, ACNA takes a stand against abortion.

The best that TEC can do comes from Rev Katherine Ragsdale who has declared that abortions are a blessing and abortionists, heroes; the ACoC is too timid to say anything.

March for Life 2014

An invitation to the March for Life from Archbishop Duncan

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In Deuteronomy 30:19 Moses says, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”

This exhortation reminds us of the profound importance God places on life, especially our children, born and unborn. Furthermore, the Canons of the Anglican Church in North America include this declaration of our commitment to life: God, and not man, is the creator of human life. The unjustified taking of life is sinful. Therefore, all members and Clergy are called to protect and respect the sanctity of every human life from conception to natural death (Canon II.8.3).

Abortion enthusiasts chant “Hail Satan”

From here:

It doesn’t get any more polarizing than God and the Devil.

As tensions over the abortion debate intensified at the Texas state legislature Tuesday, a religious-themed face-off took place in the form of a handful of hell-raising pro-choicers shouting “hail Satan” as pro-lifers swayed and sang “Amazing Grace.”

Here is the video:

For the Episcopal view, here is Rev. Katherine Ragsdale, Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School, a seminary of the Episcopal Church. She is a lesbian and in 2011 married another woman. In 2009 she declared that abortion is a blessing and abortionists are saints.

It might be less disingenuous if she just chanted “hail Satan”:

Rev. Katherine Ragsdale would break the law to help a minor get an abortion

Rev. Ragsdale is president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School and a lesbian. No-one was shocked by that, but she did cause a bit of a stir when she called abortion a blessing.

The best thing I can think of to say about her is: at least she is consistent. Consistently wicked.

From here:

(CNSNews.com) – Were Congress to outlaw the transporting of a minor without her parents’ permission across state lines to get an abortion, an abortion- and gay-rights activist testifying on Capitol Hill Thursday she would break the law to continue to help girls end their pregnancies.

Appearing as a Democratic Party witness at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, Dr. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. recalled the time she took a 15-year-old girl she had never met before to get an abortion.

The Very Rev. Katherine Ragsdale did something old-fashioned, traditional, and family value-focussed

It’s not that we wanted to make a political statement……

The direction of the Holy Spirit seems readily discernible to many of us.  The Church, throughout the world, is growing in the direction of inclusion and justice for all God’s people, including Mally and me.  For now, the fights continue.  Anglicans, among others, fight and threaten schism over our marriages, over our love, and our lives.  Mally is Canon to the Ordinary (the Bishop’s chief of staff), and I am the President and Dean of an Episcopal Seminary.  Because of this, we are in danger of becoming the newest poster-children in this on-going fight.  All of this–for doing something as old-fashioned, traditional, and family value-focused as getting married surrounded by friends and family in the church.

What can one possibly say in the face such chutzpah?

Nice hairdo, sweetie.
