My dog paid a visit to St. Hilda’s this evening to see if it would meet his spiritual needs.
He tells me he is spiritual, not religious, wants to know if the church will bless something he has going on with the male Chihuahua who lives next door, and would like to know if he could bring him next week as they journey together along their path of deepening spirituality.
I suggested he sniff out a Diocese of Niagara parish.
David,
Are you suggesting that the ACoC is going to the dogs?
I thought he was there to see if he was called to be a priest. Or is there any intolerant, bigoted, hateful conservative who dares suggest that Jesus would not have ordained dogs if society had not frowned on their equally valid and diverse behaviour?
Maybe he should try the Dioceses of Huron and New Westminster as well as Toronto and Montreal, and who knows how many others.
I hope Sebastian goes up for communion – after all – it has been done. However – how wide do we draw the circle, how will Sebastian feel when I bring my cats? At least he seems to like the orange carpet.
Oh my, but he does look regal on the lovely orange carpet!
How about a Sebastian travelogue? Just think of the possibilites.
I would need a smell recorder in addition to a camera. I wonder if he would feel the inclusion if we visit the DoN cathedral? Come to think of it, I wonder if I would.
This iten reminds me of the dyslexic agnostic who used to ask the question: Is there a Dog?
