True story
Little girl next door to friend’s mother: “What religion are you?”
Mother: “We’re Christian.”
Little girl: “We are Anglican.”
Out of the mouths of babes.

I’ve heard a similar story, except that the little girl said: “We’re catholic”
What made this funny is that it really happened not just a story
Yes, that is fine if they are really Anglican – that is a true orthodox Christian that has not been taken in by the apostasy now prevalent in both the ACoC and the TEC. A true Anglican fully accepts both the authority of the Scriptures and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ. The apostates within the ACoC and the TEC seem to think their word supersedes THE WORD.
You need grief counselling
Or why not be ANiC?
I’ve been lurking around this blog for a couple of months and I have a serious question: in light of the changes happening in the Anglican Church of Canada in the last few months and years, what’s the point of hanging onto (or trying to revive) a very Conservative or Orthodox Anglicanism – why not just be Catholic?
Probably because they would have difficulty accepting some of the RC teachings.
It’s a serious consideration for me, but David is correct. There are some aspects of the theology and culture of the RC church that give me pause. And giving up Anglo-Catholic liturgy and the BCP in worship is a grief-worthy prospect.
