Anglicans for Life Canada was here:
And the police:
Naturally, we made fun of our prime minister:
It wasn’t just conservative Christians:
There were protesters who didn’t just want to express themselves – they want to prevent us expressing ourselves:
Again, as last year, I was there. The contrast, between the presentation of those marching for the human rights of the pre-born, i.e. basically that such should legally be a person, something currently denied by the Criminal Code of Canada, and the presentation of the counter-protesters, was stark. The former was overwhelmingly one of civility, with only a little of youthful exuberance of chanting and noise-making. The latter, probably to compensate for their relatively minuscule numbers and in attempt to smoke-screen their one central argument, that a fetus (Latin for pre-born child) is _only_ part of a woman’s body, an argument so weak and so easily demolished, was bad theatre of the absurd.
That stark contrast possibly contributed to the force of the Mark for Life.
