Although I have serious doubts about whether this street preacher’s approach to disseminating the gospel will have anything other than the opposite of its intended effect, the video below is instructive in that it clearly demonstrates the blinkered one-way tolerance practised by gay supporters and police alike.
I’m hazarding a wild guess that the preacher is not Anglican.
I think that is just terrible how this went.
Some people are angry
This is quite a charged dynamic over legalities and rules that are associated with the Christian Religion
This sort of thing is getting into Religion and Politics
I’ve sometimes run into this sort of thing on Commercial Drive in Vancouver where I’ve lived for 20 years
It looks like to me that there are Gays & Lesbians that are tired of feeling dumped on.
There is a lot of anger and confusion here some divided feelings
Some feelings of loss almost like a schism or a divorce
I feel it is good to pray to the Lord for direction beforehand
This is not a like minded situation at all.
It seems kind of definsive and territorial.
Let the Holy Spirit speak through the Word of God as to know what is the will of God in this situation
The Lord might call a person just to pray for all the persons seen in the privacy of one’s home
“And whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.”
In this, I do belive our Lord is telling us to avoid such confrontation, and if experiencing one, get out of there and don’t look back. So this bold brother went there knowing what he was confronting, and as restrained as he was, the results were inevitable. Bless his courage, but his boldness was misplaced.
As for the police and the crowd, they are both of the world, and as the pagan demonstrated, of Satan’s world. So our three enemies seemed to have been at work here; the world, the evil one, and self.
Better, I believe, that we should not be drawn into a world, such as that flaunted by these rageful, pagan, and lost people, supported by police, rather that we do God’s work as best we each can, and be blessed, as we bless others.
Guess I’m a wimp, but I’m His wimp.
What gets me is all of the anger which is unhealthy and toxic.
It is best to take one’s lumps and takes one’s losses and get out of that situation
Too many times have observed too many angry and cold gay men and lesbian women.
Too often seem quite perpetually dissatisfied?
It seems like they’ve bought into this gay lobby?
It seems that they are trying to follow it?
It almost seems that they are trying to get something to work that really doesn’t work?
Maybe it can’t work?
Maybe it can never work?
I feel that the gay lobby would concider the above statements as hate and or politically incorrect
The dynamics of the gay pride parade on the u-tube seemed to have a clashy dynamic about it
