Strange you didn’t you cover this Huffington Post story:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr/fox-news-will-not-be-moving-into-canada-after-all_b_829473.html 🙄
See blog rule number 4.
Fair enough. Would saying that this explains why I don’t worry about the popularity of Fox News break the rules? If so, please delete.
Warren,
“Harper’s attempts to make lying legal on Canadian television is a stark admission that right wing political ideology can only dominate national debate through dishonest propaganda.” … I hope you aren”t holding this little jewel of libel up as the epitomy of fact based journalism.
Peace,
Jim
David seemed to be looking to Huffington Post all of a sudden as a reputable source, so I thought I throw in some of their other stuff (but I broke the rules doing so). I’m not aware of any media outlet that I would consider an “epitomy of fact based journalism”.
Huffington Post is biased against Fox News, yet it still reports that Fox has the top spots in cable news; surely you realised that that was the point.
Of course. And I wasn’t the least bit surprised – nor did I even nibble at my heart.
Warren,
This past week there was an organized protest outside Fox HQ in New York. The usual collection of posters showed up accusing Fox of lying. Funny thing though, when Jessee Waters went out with a camera, these indignant truth warriors couldn’t list a single lie that Fox had perpetrated. Odd that.
Peace,
Jim
Jim, you must have missed this:
That’s a little harsh, David, he’s just twitting you, and you fell for it!
Ah, but two can twit.
Warren,
Not only did I not miss it, I watched it live. I was also watching the epicenter of liberal activism when Doyle was assaulted.
These attacks have sopped for now, I suspect, because they don’t poll well with the majority of America that supportys Fox.
Did you watch the video? Do you think that interviewing one person proves anything about bias? If O’Reilly, who is one of those accused of bias, says it doesn’t exist, does that settle it for you? By the way, I didn’t understand the reference to Doyle. Did you mean Tobin? If so, thanks for the support.
Most Americans view porn on line. Using your logic, am I to assume that most Americans “support” porn? My earlier link makes the case that, whether they’re glued to Fox or not, most Americans have values (at least in the areas of taxation and public union bargaining) that are more liberal than conservative. What do the support numbers reported in the following Fox News story prove?

I accept that you will remain a Fox fan and don’t think any less of you for it. If she watched TV, I think my mother would be a fan too. I admit it’s entertaining – in a lurid kind of way. Sort of like this blog.
Admit it: you enjoyed the nudist prattle.
Says who? According to the figures I’ve seen it’s more like 13% of Americans.
And as for online searches for “porn”, South Africa comes out on top and Canada is ahead of the US.
Revenue for pornography: China is $27.40B, Korea $25.73b and the US $13.33b
You’re right – I meant American Internet users. Someone posted this interesting graphic on SFIF recently (I can’t speak to its accuracy, but many sources are cited). I did assume that the problem is larger than what people are admitting to.
Warren,
Apologies for both the typos and misidentifying Tobin.
However, the “liberal” take on Fox that you play as some kind of trump is propaganda at its finest: overlay a soothing voice on half truths and edited video to draw a preordained conclusion.
I also went to the tinyurl.com/FoxNewsBias site which is equally unconvincing.
Peace,
Jim
I suppose it isn’t very noble of me to admit that I haven’t even gone there myself. I probably won’t bother now. Part of what irritates me about Fox is their seemingly careful choice of nouns, verbs, adjective and adverbs in the coverage of some stories that appears designed to elicit an emotional rather than intellectual response. I suppose all media outlets are guilty of this to some degree.
Fox gained a few points with me today by recognizing that Glenn Beck is a liability and that people can only tolerate so many conspiracy theories.
