For six years Paul Kennington was Dean and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral in the Diocese of Montreal. Kennington is a homosexual in a civil partnership with Jonathan Bailey. When Kennington left the diocese in December 2016, a replacement with the right qualifications had to be found:
It is no surprise that it took nearly a year to find the right person to fill the position of Dean of Christ Church Cathedral. After all the qualifications were demanding. Among them, “ The new Dean and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral will bring to all dimensions of the role a strong capacity for leadership in visioning that will inspire others—clergy, parishioners, and supporters— with imagination, energy, and enthusiasm for the Cathedral’s mission.”
What is missing from this dazzling catalogue of clerical virtues is the one which the diocese seems to prize above all: the candidate needs to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor and be homosexual.
The Diocese of Montreal found Kennington in the UK, presumably having scoured Canada for a suitable candidate with the necessary sexual inclinations. It’s hard to argue with success, so the diocese, employing the same strategy, have discovered yet another homosexual UK vicar willing to be imported into Canada. The Very Rev. Bertrand Olivier is the new Dean. His husband is called Paul:
There is nothing surprising about this announcement as the ACoC through is apostate Primate and so-called apostate bishops who no longer support THE WORD but rather worship the god of political expediency. The church might well refer to them as the RIGHT reverend whereas the correct term would be the APOSTATE – servants of the god of political expediency.
Sad.
These are individuals who cannot get licensed in the C of E, so they look for a salaried position in Canada or the States.
This sort of thing could not have happened if our Church were not full of people too mean with money to spend the cost of 2-3 cups of coffee on good literature even when offered at a low author’s price, too lazy to read it, and too cowardly to get it into the hands of Church leaders. Some of these I fear may even read, or perish the thought contribute, on this blog. If they would repent in practical terms our Church could still be turned around before it is too late.
I stand ready as I have said before to ship an information pack at a subsidised price to any serious enquirer. This could then be passed on to one’s Diocesan. New West and Calgary are already seen to, in the sense that the horse has been taken to water. Other Dioceses are still up for grabs. Ask me at priscilla dot turner at telus dot net, labelling your message homosexinfo .
I will also travel at my own expense to any Episcopal diocese/church on this continent and run a Workshop for you. You will feed and house me, and pay for study materials for each participant.
Your offer of subsidized theological resources is admirable. But in assuming that Anglicans lack sufficient information and want to know the truth about God’s will, but are merely too parsimonious or too lazy or too cowardly to avail themselves of relevant theological resources, you may be being overly generous. Alas, all of these assumptions may be incorrect (Rom. 1:20-21; Acts 28:25-28). If the problem is not ignorance or faintheartedness, but rather, deliberate suppression of the truth and hardheartedness, they will not wish to hear the truth even if you cater perfectly to their convenience and pay for the resources completely. Mainline Anglicanism is likely lost, but the Gospel will move on to others who will listen (Acts 28:28).
Alas, the + Mission has become the Cathedral.
This is their hour, and the power of Darkness (Luke 22:53)
