Rev. Canon Kevin Robertson, an active homosexual, was one of three clergy elected to the position of bishop in the Diocese of Toronto in September. The diocesan paper notes:
The bishops-elect will officially begin their duties on Jan. 1, 2017. They will be consecrated on Jan. 7 at St. Paul, Bloor Street.
St. Paul’s, Bloor Street is one of the largest Anglican Church of Canada parishes in Canada and it is evangelical. If any conservatives remaining in the ACoC think they can quietly continue without the church’s gay agenda being thrust in their faces, think again. St. Paul’s has to host the consecration of a bishop whose domestic arrangements are flagrantly contrary to the convictions of the congregation.
“If he doesn’t like the porridge…make him eat two bowls”…my Swedish grandmother used to say 🙂
It is not enough for an evil man to get what he wants; he must force you to endorse it or carry it out for him.
The true Evangelical ‘St. Paul’ will post his + Romans ch. 1 to mark “the solemn farce” (T. McCrie) – maybe even on All Hallows: for true All Saints + 1:7.
The buildings are all the ACC has left. The apostle Paul routinely left the local synagogue to establish a church that met in a house. The presence of God went with him. Thankfully for faithful Anglicans, there is a nascent body of faithful anglicans — ANiC — ready to welcome them.
The ACoC might well claim to be evangelical but it fails to mention this does NOT mean evangelical Christian but rather evangelical “political correctness” – an expression that comes directly from Satan. From the primate down to the clergy there is no more CHRISTIAN within the ACoC.
The ACoC might well claim to be evangelical but that clearly does NOT mean Christian. It preaches nothing less than “political correctness” – a phrase directly from the pit of hell. From the primate down to the remaining clergy Christian teaching has been abandoned. Any true Christian should bail out of this sinking ship and seek refuge within the ANiC.
What if there is not ACNA church in my area?
Carefully check for a Lutheran Church affiliated with Lutheran Church Canada. The so-called Evangelical Lutheran Church has followed in the steps of the ACoC. You may have to do some investigation with any other church to ensure they fully accept both the authority of Scripture and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.
Many former ELCIC congregations are finding homes in the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) as well. ELCIC congregations, unlike Anglicans, get to keep their buildings.
Look into planting one?
