“Fairy tales and the gay man’s journey” is a five week Pride event put on by the Diocese of New Westminster’s Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral. It will be led by Holy Trinity’s rector, who is himself gay, Rev. Dale Yardy. As the invitation says:
Join us for a five week journey as we listen to, and unpack through small group reflection and conversation, the wisdom and spirituality of five beloved fairytales as applied to the gay man’s journey.
Rev. Yardy explains more in this CBC interview. Apparently, it has a lot to do with the ugly duckling feeling alienated and excluded: it’s an LGBT metaphor – I bet no-one saw that coming. Just to be clear: it has nothing to do with the word “fairy”.
So rather than studying the Holy Bible that God gave us, which might actually result in someone noticing that all sexual activity outside of marriage (which is an Act of God joining a man to his wife) is a sin this homosexual activist is deliberately directing people to study man made fiction.
This morning I have been reading and meditating on Galatians, specifically Chapter 4:19 — “My little children, for whom I labour in birth, until Christ is formed in you.” Or so far away from this are the fairy tales this fellow is talking of. Apropos it so though for fairy tales are the opposite of truth. Or so far away are these children from yielding, repenting and obeying, so Christ may be formed in them. May they open up the Word of God at some point, and may the Holy Spirit lead them to the truth and rebirth in Christ.
This so-called priest should be removed from office and made to find another job to support himself. He has abandoned the vows made at his ordination and should make a public confession and repentance before being allowed to return. However, he is in the Diocese of New Westminster which is clearly led by those who have turned their back on the Gospel and who are determined to lead parishioners into apostasy.
