Diocese of Niagara: St. Hilda’s Stooge Number 3

Add an Image

The diocese is running through priest-squatters for St. Hilda’s at an embarrasing rate. First there was Brian Ruttan Parish Terminator, then Martha Tartarnic Dizzy Blonde, and now the latest is Rev. Sue-Ann Ward,  presently vicar at Christ’s Church Cathedral, Hamilton.

The Reverend Sue-Ann Ward has been appointed Diocesan Administrator at St.Hilda’s, Oakville, effective January 1, replacing Rev. Martha Tatarnic.

One wonders why the latest victim was chosen: it is, of course, all about how things appear in court, so perhaps this is the reason:

Sue-Ann’s first project has become the Jamesville Breakfast Club, nurturing children of three local schools. “The principal at St. Mary’s [Elementary School] made us aware of the need, and asked for support. Now we feed sixty plus children and a handful of adults every morning!” A large sign welcomes all, and the local crossing guard even comes early to enable the children to arrive safely.

St. Hilda’s ANiC feeds and evangelises over 100 school children every Friday. I am sure the diocese of Niagara will be quick to point to Sue-Ann’s record in the ensuing court case – with the intent of claiming that she could assume our ministries.

But St. Hilda’s has a congregation that helps run the ministries – a congregation that won’t be there for Sue-Ann. Perhaps she will do a Martha and import a pseudo-congregation. Hubby is Rev. Jeff Ward, rector at St. Luke’s, Palermo; I wonder if he and his wife will be doing the NPS (Niagara Parishioner Shuffle)?

Welcome Sue-Ann, enjoy the orange carpet.

P.S. Do the honourable thing and resign now.

  1. Betty,

As I recall, the times when Jesus wept were when Lazarus died and over the impending destruction of Jerusalem. I can imagine he might have wept over the state of the ACoC: I suspect now, though, he is the one squeezing out the poisonous liberalism as J. I. Packer so eloquently put it.

  2. Scott,
    🙂
Yes, I noticed. A live blog might be pushing it, but I was thinking of appearing with a digital voice recorder. I might even ask a few questions – to probe the extent of the tolerance and inclusiveness of the dio of Niagara.

  3. Betty,

Read the About page. Therein you will find: “the opinions in my posts and comments are not those of ANiC, Essentials, or the parish I attend. I don’t represent anyone but myself.

  4. There used to be a link, but there hasn’t been one for a while. If you see one, it’s coming from your browser’s cache. Refresh the page while holding down your shift key.

  5. For you to refer to Rev. Tatarnic as a “dizzy blond” is tasteless. I attended many of Rev. Tatarnic’s services at St. Hilda’s and found her messages intelligent, thought provoking and meaningful.

  6. I find it hard to believe that you are talking about the same person. Speaking of ditzy, the word can also be defined as stupid or scatterbrained. I think that anyone who believes in and follows the teachings of a man who steals, promotes hatred among others and encourages segregation is very ditzy (not to mention disgusting). I certainly hope, Jess, that you do not fall into that category.

    • Melinda/May,

Would you please use the same pseudonym when replying: your comments are confusing enough as it is without the implication that there are two of you.

  7. Melinda, I am a Christian, so I have no idea what you are talking about regarding this man who steals etc. I stated my opinion regarding the Rev., but do not plan to get sucked into a prolonged argument with May/Melissa/Melinda, or anyone else. I’m sure everyone has said enough 🙂

  8. Hi Jess:
I think you know exactly what I am talking about, but at the same time I will respect your wishes and leave the conversation alone.
