How does a liberal Anglican priest get around the uncomfortable predicament of not actually believing the Christian faith?
One way is illustrated below by Peter Wall, Dean and Rector of Christ’s Church Cathedral, diocese of Niagara. In the first clip, he declares he believes in the Virgin Birth, but he doesn’t know what it means.
He also has no idea what the Resurrection is:
So Peter Wall doesn’t know what the Virgin Birth means and doesn’t know what the Resurrection is, but after “struggling”, against all reason claims – with an air of effete condescension – he believes both.
It’s no wonder Anglicanism in the West has become a denominational village idiot.
How can he affirm “with heartfelt conviction” something he doesn’t know the meaning of? That’s absurd.
He brings to mind the old question, “If you were accused in court of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?”
In the same interview Peter Wall went on to explain that the resurrection was “conceptual”.
Sorry folks this is the dean of the cathedral in NIAGARA ! What do you expect?
Was the previous Bishop of Niagara Spence taken in by Mr. Wall’s membership in the Three Cantors and did he think that by making Mr. Wall his dean he would bring a wonderful musical revival to the cathedral? If so he sure got a bad bargain.
And this guy was in the running for the bishop of Edmonton…
Whew, that was a close one!
Yikes!
Rather sad, that. Any chance of posting the full interview?

The whole show is Here.
WordPress does seem to use an imaginative algorithm to come up with related posts.
Maybe if we had larger chunks of the video we could understand better what he said after. But here we have a case of cherry picking the ammo we want to use against the guy.
Here’s the whole thing. Do let us know how much it helps you understand the Waffling Wall:
