Burqa burglars

It was only a matter of time before the stocking over the head was replaced by a burqa: now it’s happened:

Police are searching for a burqa-clad man who helped steal designer watches worth £150,000 in an armed robbery yesterday.

The man and two accomplices, armed with a handgun and an axe, burst into Michael Jones Jewellers on the High Street in Banbury, Oxfordshire, at about 2.20pm.

The incident is the latest in a spate of ‘burqa robberies’ where thieves conceal their identity with the full-body garment typically worn by Muslim women.

Reminds me of this:

Jesus, unlike Muhammad, had interesting things to say

According to Sebastian Faulks:

Sebastian Faulks, the best-selling author, has risked angering Muslims after claiming the Koran has “no ethical dimension” and dismissing the words of Muhammad as the “rantings of a schizophrenic”.

Faulks claims that the Koran offers no interesting stories compared with the Bible, and simply tells its readers to believe in God or “burn forever”.

“There is also the barrenness of the message. I mean, there are some bits about diet, you know, the equivalent of the Old Testament, which is also crazy.

“But the great thing about the Old Testament is that it does have these incredible stories. Of the 100 greatest stories ever told, about 99 are probably in the Old Testament and the other is in Homer,” he said.

“With the Koran there are no stories. And it has no ethical dimension like the New Testament, no new plan for life.”

And in a move that is likely to anger many Muslims, he calls into question the worth of Muhammad.

“Jesus, unlike Muhammad, had interesting things to say. He proposed a revolutionary way of looking at the world: love you neighbour, love your enemy, be kind to people, the meek shall inherit the Earth. Muhammad had nothing to say to the world other than, ‘If you don’t believe in God you will burn forever.'”

Predictably, Faulks has been accused of stirring up religious hatred against Muslims. By blowing up innocent people and rejoicing in their deaths, Muslims do a far better job of fomenting hatred against themselves than Faulks’ paltry efforts; that fact probably isn’t something that will keep him safe, though.

Blaspheming in Ireland

Is to be no more: Ireland introduces a new blasphemy law:

The Irish government plans to bring into force a new law in October that critics say is a return to medieval justice.

The legislation, aimed at providing judges with clear direction on the 1937 Constitution’s blasphemy prohibition, imposes a fine of up to 25,000 euros — about $39,000 — for anyone who “publishes or utters matter that is [intentionally meant to be] grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters held sacred by any religion, thereby causing outrage among a substantial number of the adherents of that religion.”

Police with a search warrant will be able to enter private premises and use “reasonable force” to obtain incriminating evidence.

The truth is, there are already blasphemy laws actively operating in every Western nation: they only prohibit an offence against Islam, though and the penalty is often death at the hands of a demented Muslim. So effective are the existing laws that a new book from Yale Press – the fearless bastion of controversy and free speech – is self-censoring itself by not publishing the notorious Mohammed cartoons in a book about the cartoons.

At least the new Irish blasphemy law evens things up by prohibiting Christian blasphemy too – although the penalty is a measly maximum of $39,000, not death.

Richard Dawkins has an opinion, of course:

“It is a wretched, backward, uncivilized regression to the Middle Ages,” said prominent atheist author Richard Dawkins in a statement last month, arguing that the law risks shattering Ireland’s new image as a “modern, civilized . . . green and pleasant silicon valley.”

Now, Richard, since when did you care about civilisation? As long as we are evolving, surely that’s all that matters; why are you not happy with the remorseless evolution that produced this new blasphemy law?

Supermullah, faster than a speeding burka

Sharia-compliant super-heroes:Add an Image

They are fighting for truth, justice and the Islamic way and are heading for your living room — prepare to say salaam to the world’s first Muslim superheroes.

Despite the ample wrongs waiting to be righted across the Middle East, Superman, Spider-Man and Batman mainly fight evil in America. When the East has featured as a setting for superhero antics — as in the recent film Iron Man — it has tended to be as a source of villainy.

That is about to change, courtesy of The 99, a Sharia-compliant version of the X-Men that has taken the Arab world by storm and has its sights set on the West.

Its mission: to instil old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children.

Islam, while being unable to hide its contempt for Western civilisation, is keen to adapt many of its fruits – sometimes the most banal specimens.

Islamist horror killings

I can’t bring myself to call them “honour killings”:

Almost as soon as news broke that the murders of three Afghan-Canadian teenage sisters and their father’s first wife in Kingston, Ont., were possible “honour killings,” some in the Muslim community reacted in the most predictable fashion: defensiveness and denial.

Instead of voicing outrage at the murders, two Muslim callers to my CFRB radio show in Toronto slammed me for raising the subject, and suggested I had some hidden agenda. “This has nothing to do with Islam,” said one caller, despite the fact no one on the show had, to that point, even mentioned the word “Islam,” let alone accused the religion of sanctioning honour killings.

The callers were not alone. The head of the Canadian branch of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) told the CBC more or less the same thing – that the story was unrelated to Islam, which apparently does not permit honour killings.

They are both right and wrong. It is true that Islam’s holy book, the Koran, does not sanction honour killings. But to deny the fact that many incidents of honour killings are conducted by Muslim fathers, sons and brothers, and that many victims are Muslim women, is to exercise intellectual dishonesty. At worst, it is an attempt to shut off debate.

It seems that when a religion goes off the rails it becomes obsessed with sex. In Islam’s case the obsession is that men are so sexually fragile that a glimpse of female flesh will lead to an unrestrained spontaneous orgasmic frenzy: that may indeed be true for the purveyors of this view – demented mullahs. For their sake women are supposed to wear tents over their heads. This means that when there is sexual activity between a Muslim woman and someone other than her owner-husband, it must be her fault and she deserves to die.

Similarly for another derailed religion, Western Anglicanism, everything revolves around sex; except in our case the emphasis is on the freedom to copulate with anything with a nominal body temperature of 37 degrees regardless of gender or species (it’s coming), provided the coupling is in some way committed.

Iran, rape and Islam

It is difficult to imagine a more disgustingly horrifying practice than the systematic raping of virgins in the name of a religion – Islam – supposedly in order to prevent them going to heaven. The real reason is more likely to be the satisfaction of the evil, perverted concupiscence of demented mullahs.

One would think that such an abomination would be the subject condemnation by Muslims in every free country; sadly, that isn’t the case and this article is a lonely exception:

This truth is beginning to come out in the open. A serving member of the Iranian vigilante Basiji militia reportedly has told Sabina Amidi, a freelance reporter for the Jerusalem Post, about his enforced participation in the rape of young Iranian girls prior to their execution. The Basiji enforcer disclosed that the practice was justified by his superiors under the dubious proposition that, under sharia law, “it is illegal to execute a young woman, regardless of her crime, if she is a virgin.”

Let me introduce to you, for instance, Soraya Abolfathi, who was only 20-years old when she was picked up by Iranian Revolutionary Guards for participating in a demonstration against Ayatollah Khomeni on August 19, 1981. She was taken to Tabriz prison where, during her 34-day detention, she was tortured repeatedly to pressure her to give up her friends. She refused. On Sept. 28, 1981, she was executed by a firing squad. However, it is believed the night before her death, she was forcibly wed to a mullah in a “pleasure marriage,” the ensuing act of rape serving to ensure she did not die a virgin.

Virgins, the mullahs believe, are guaranteed a place in paradise, and raping young girls ensures they go to hell.

The Fall of Capitalism and Rise of Islam Conference

Apparently, there is an era of global change on its way.

Hizb ut-Tahrir (the Liberation Party) is a global Islamic political organization established in 1953 under the leadership of its founder – the honorable scholar, thinker, politician, and judge in the Court of Appeals in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) – Taqiuddin an-Nabhani. The current leader of the organization is Ata ibn Khaleel Abu Rashta.
In the Muslim world, Hizb ut-Tahrir works at all levels of society to restore to the Muslims a means of living an Islamic way of life under the shade of the Khilafah State (Caliphate) following an exclusively political method.

A conference to further the Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam was held on July 19th. And, as a tribute to their disdain for capitalism, they met – you guessed it – in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Oak Lawn, Chicago. The aim appears to be to establish a worldwide Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) – one Hilton at a time.

Not everyone was receptive to the prospect of an Islamic Mafia conference meeting in their neighbourhood:

Protesters gathered outside a Chicago-area hotel Sunday as an Islamic extremist group reportedly linked to Al Qaeda held a conference in an attempt to step up Western recruitment efforts.

Move over Noddy: Terrorist TV for kids

From PMW

The Hamas TV children’s program Tomorrow’s Pioneers produced a special broadcast in which the two young children of a female suicide terrorist were invited to the TV studio to watch a video re-enactment of their mother’s suicide bombing. The terrorist, Reem Riyashi, killed four Israelis in a suicide bombing in 2004:

The doom of Christendom: we don’t take our faith seriously

We are having two bathrooms renovated on the top floor of our house. This means that in the early hours of the morning, the cost of the evening’s fluid intake is either abdominal agony or a trek through an obstacle course of sleeping dogs, cats, vacuum cleaner hoses – which become oddly animated at night – and furniture which has shifted position so that you stub your toe as you pass it.

As in the case of all renovations, everything is behind, things are forgotten, the workers are pulled off your job to pacify other agitated customers and everyone is frustrated. The person in charge is a Muslim; he is a decent fellow and is doing his best to get things done. This afternoon he was supposed to bring over some of that sticky stuff that Canadians use to fill holes in walls, so that the person doing the work could complete at least one of the bathrooms.

The person doing the work told me in hushed tones that the “mud” – I was tempted to say wattle and daub – would not be coming because the person in charge had gone to the Mosque to pray, even though this was a repeat performance that was bound to make me less than happy. So we have another delay and no bathrooms for the weekend; I am about to search ebay for chamber pots.

Now to the point: how many Christians are willing to inconvenience themselves, annoy people who might want them to do something else and jeopardise their livelihood because, on Sunday, nothing is more important than the public worship of God?

Instead, we are constantly looking for ways to make our services more appealing –  not just to the unchurched, but to Christians so we can get them to show up. Shorter services, shorter sermons, more modern music, less modern music, services later in the day, Fresh Expressions, softer pews, coffee before and after: you name it, we’re willing to try it.

The truth is, Christians don’t take their faith seriously; I suspect it’s because they don’t really believe it’s true. Muslims do take their faith seriously; I suspect it’s because they really believe it’s true.

That’s why Christendom is doomed.
