Google is Islam

h/t: The Next Web

The ever helpful Google search engine tries to anticipate what you are searching for by filling in what it thinks you might be interested in. And, of course, it has numerous derogatory fill-ins for “Christianity is”:

But when it comes to “Islam is” gutless Google comes up with nothing:

Other search engines do have “Islam is” suggestions; Bing, for example, yields:

As a protest against Google dhimmitude,  I  have switched to Bing.

Islam and homosexuality

From the National Post:

EDMONTON — Junaid Bin Jahangir was such a devout Muslim that when he arrived in Canada he ate only yogurt for two days until he was sure which food followed halal dietary rules.

The university student prayed five times a day, and joined a local mosque.

Then one day, at age 27, he started to wonder why he had never been with a girl. “Why don’t I like women that way?” he asked, and it led him to a counselling office, where he sat, sobbing, with the realization that he was gay — a pariah to his community.

Mainstream Islamic leaders say gay men should be shunned and some around the world are killed each year.

Mr. Jahangir’s world imploded; work on his PhD ground to a halt.

But out of that despair, Mr. Jahangir began to work on another project: Understanding the teachings of Islam on homosexuality. From his office at the University of Alberta, he contacted experts, read everything he could on the subject and studied the scriptures intensely for two years, rebuilding his own identity in the process. His work is starting to be recognized internationally.

Now he argues Muslims misinterpret the Qur’an if they consider the ban on homosexuality to be as firm as bans on alcohol or pork. The common story from which most Muslims draw their teaching is about violent homosexual rape, he says, and it’s time to rethink the possibility of consensual, supportive relationships.

It is instructive to note that the same argument employed by liberal Christians to justify homosexual activity is drifting into Islam.

The comparison even extends to elevating trivial food regulations – eating pork – over matters of sexual ethics; an Anglican example of this is to forbid intinction while smiling benignly on consensual, supportive sodomy – something Ralph Spence did when bishop of Niagara.

Christian family given asylum in Canada after fleeing Islamic oppression

From the Toronto Sun:

A seven-year-old Pakistani girl and her family have been given asylum in Canada after reports the child was raped and left to die when her Christian father refused to convert to Islam.

The identities of Baby Neeha and her family are being protected by immigration officials, said human rights lawyer Chantal Desloges and One Free World International, a church that was instrumental in getting the family here.

The family arrived in Canada on Dec. 12 after a three-year battle by organizers to spirit them out of danger in Pakistan.

They are living in the Mississauga area and will be visited next month by Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, who was so touched by the family’s plight that he doled out a ministerial permit, of which he has only issued two.

Church founder Rev. Majed El Shafie said the family of seven have been hiding from extremists in Pakistan for about three years.

Baby Neeha, at the age of 21/2, was raped by the son of her father’s employer and left to die by the roadside, he said. No one was arrested for the crime.

“These horrific events took place because her father, who was Christian, refused to give in to pressure from his Muslim employer to convert to Islam,” El Shafie said.

The family went underground in Pakistan to hide from Muslim extremists who were seeking revenge for their non-conversion, he said.

“The family has lived for years in hiding and in constant fear of being discovered by the employer’s family or Islamic extremists,” El Shafie said. “We are thrilled that she’s finally in Canada.”

Organizers said the case touched Kenney who decided to help the family.

“This case truly broke his heart and he (Kenney) considers himself lucky to have it within his powers to intervene,” Kenney’s spokesman Alykhan Velshi said yesterday. “Fortunately, they are now safely in Canada.”

Kenney found out about the family’s plight six months ago, Velshi said.

“He personally issued a special ministerial permit,” he said. “There were significant difficulties in getting them out of Pakistan.”

This is the same heartless Jason Kenny who cut off funding to Kairos, evoking howls of protest from the Anglican House of Bishops and chuckles of glee from me.

I’m now waiting for a vote of approval from the HoB for Kenny’s rescue of this Christian family……. still waiting.

Beware of the Radical Christian Underwear Bombers

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab sewed explosives into his underwear (didn’t anyone tell him about the 72 virgins?) and tried to blow up a plane on Christmas day; although he was unsuccessful,  smoke was seen swirling from…. well, never mind.

A Nigerian banker’s son charged with trying to blow up a plane over Detroit claims he trained with Al Qaeda leaders who had explosives sewn into his underwear, it was reported Saturday.

Umar copied this plan from Christians, of course:

Islam, the religion of peace and cutting children

Ashura is a Muslim holy day that commemorates the 7th-Century death of the grandson of Islam’s prophet.

Ostensibly:

“It’s about standing up for justice, standing up for democracy, standing up for peace and equality,” Mohamed Al-Najjar explained at the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center in Dearborn. The center is named after the city in Iraq.

In reality, it’s an expression of demonic barbarism:

Bomb sniffing dogs worry Muslim leader

Only when they are sniffing Muslims, though:

Bomb-sniffing dogs on Vancouver transit worry Muslim leader.

Specially trained bomb-sniffing dogs might soon be patrolling Metro Vancouver’s buses and SkyTrains just in time for the Olympics, but that has some Muslims concerned.

The Metro Vancouver Transit Police Service is in the process of selecting the handlers and dogs that will be part of the two-year pilot project, said deputy chief George Beattie.

Once the teams are trained, the dogs will work on the entire transit system, including buses, SkyTrains and SeaBus ferries.

But the idea of being sniffed up and down by a slobbery pooch — no matter how well trained — has already raised concerns among some members of Metro Vancouver’s Muslim community.

But this doesn’t have anything to do with the possibility of a Muslim being caught carrying a bomb. No, really, it doesn’t.

No Christmas cards for Rifqa Bary

Rifqa Bary is the 17 year old convert from Islam to Christianity who fled from her parents because she fears for her life. She has been returned to Ohio by court order and is in foster care at the moment. Her parents want her back, saying, “I want her to come back home. I love my daughter whether she’s Christian or anything else. I want my daughter back.” But even though they claim they don’t mind if she is a Christian,  her parents don’t want her to have any Christmas cards.

CAIR Attorney Demands Ban and Seizure of all Christmas Cards sent to Rifqa Bary (Bumped)

In a stunning development in the ongoing legal saga of Muslim-turned-Christian convert Rifqa Bary, the parents’ attorney, Omar Tarazi, filed a motion with the Franklin County courts last week moving to ban on all Christmas cards being sent to Rifqa through her attorneys, and demanding the seizure from her of all Christmas cards that she might have already received. And yet her parents still make representations to the media that they intend to honor and respect her Christian faith, while their attorney files sealed motions stating that Christmas cards are “dangerous to her health and safety”.

So many people were injured by Christmas cards in 2008, that vendors are now printing a warning on each card:

Niqab nuttiness

The BBC is touting a breakthrough in Saudi TV: women in tents:

Burqa Babes

Until recently you would never have seen women presenting television programmes dressed from head to toe in the niqab or burqa. But on the Saudi religious channel Awtan TV it has now become the norm.

Female broadcasters at the station are draped in the all-enveloping dresses, which are usually black and also cover their faces.

But Ms Barqi says nobody “forced the niqab” on her and she does not intend to force it on her three daughters, who watch their mother on television and feel proud of her.

Perhaps Ms. Burqa Barqi should consider a career in radio – using a heavily disguised male digital text to speech program so that insecure, fragile, sexually deprived Muslim men would not be unduly aroused by a female voice.

Hertz sued over Muslim prayers

The revolt of the dhimmis:

Hertz Global Holdings Inc., the second-largest U.S. rental car company, was sued by former employees who say its policy of allowing Muslims to take daily prayer breaks discriminates against non-Muslim workers.

Katie Barkley and Shirley Harris, who worked as part-time drivers moving Hertz cars from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to other locations, claim Muslim employees were given as many as three paid, 15-minute prayer breaks each shift while non-Muslim employees were denied equal time off, according to the suit filed Nov. 30 in federal court in Atlanta.

This could all be cleared up quite simply: Muslims get their 15 minutes every day, Christians get Sundays off, Jews Saturdays, agnostics split their time equally between Churches, Synagogues, Mosques and atheist readings of The God Delusion – which take place on Mondays. Alternatively, Hertz could stop giving Muslims time off to pray or stop hiring Muslims. Whatever they do, either Hertz will have a skeleton workforce most of the time or someone will be suing them; time to buy shares in Avis.
