  1. The very last thing I’d ever wish to do is defend or in any way support or otherwise inflate PM Gordon Brown, or even inflate, even negatively, Obama – but just why is Brown dhimmi “internationale”? After all, it is some while since a British PM was a real force internationally, and Obama – not wishing to seem to say anything remotely positive about him – is, sadly to confess, someone who has played a role (albeit very badly) on a stage including the Middle East, Iran, and parts of Asia (where he dispalyed lots of cringing dhimmitude) – so why is it Brown, not Obama, who is “dhimmi internationale”? The dhimmitude of both, and other national leaders, is, of course, not in doubt. And nice to see Rifqa Bary honored – I sent her a Christmas card; I wonder if she got it? Who knows!

  2. John,

Good point, I’m not sure why Gordon Brown is there – perhaps it’s because of the way Muslim extremists tend to be handled with kid gloves in the UK.

  3. Yes, David, no doubt it’s because his dhimmitude at home does affect international things, in that British-radicalised Muslims do tend to try to blow up planes going to other countries; and Britain is known as an international recruiting-ground for Islamicists (Melanie Phillips’s Londonistan is, apparently, the best text on this).
